♡ blogmas day 3 - terry chocolate orange brownies ♡

December 06, 2016

So hey guys! As this is my first Christmas blogging and I decided to try 12 days of blogmas! Christmas is one of my favourite times if the year so I hope you all keep up with my posts and enjoy what I'm doing, a lot of effort has gone into this and I'm so excited to share my Christmas excitement with you all so read away! These will go up at 5pm BST every other day so get excited!!

So As Christmas is around the corner I wanted to do some Christmas inspired baking. I always eat more chocolate oranges at Christmas so I saw this recipe on Pinterest (this isn't my recipe! I got it off a blog that came up first in Pinterest but I've slightly changed it) and I had to try it because what better thing to do then combine 2 of my favourite things together and make it Christmassy?

Ingredients :

190g Unsalted Butter
200g Dark Chocolate
3 Large Eggs
270g Caster Sugar
100g Plain Flour
6 tbsp of Cocoa Powder
Zest of 1 Large Orange (optional - i barely used any)
1 Terry’s Chocolate Orange

Method :

Preheat your oven to 180C/160C Fan and line a Square baking tray with parchment paper.

Melt together the Butter, and Dark Chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of boiling water, on the microwave for 1-2 minutes until melted. Leave to the side to cool to room temperature!

whisk together the Eggs & Caster Sugar for a few minutes until the colour has turned pale and then add the eggs + sugar! You will know its done because when you lift the whisk up out of the mix it should leave a trail for a couple of seconds before disappearing!

When whisked, pour the cooled chocolate mix over eggs and fold together carefully. It might take some time, but be patient – you don’t want to knock out the air you made up on the previous step!

Once completely combined, sift the cocoa powder and plain flour on top of the chocolate mix, add the orange zest, and then fold together again – still be careful to not knock out the air!

Once combined well, fold through the Chocolate Orange Chunks and pour into the prepared tin – bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes! Once baked, leave to cool in the tin completely.

So I hope you guys enjoy this recipe  and are liking Blogmas! I recommend this to everyone because it's amazing!
