♡ how to grow long natural nails ♡

January 29, 2017

Hey guys! So about a year ago, I decided to give up one of my worst habits, biting my nails. I was always a nervous child and that caused me to bite my nails. I still do bite them when I'm nervous but there strong enough to handle it now.

Biting your nails really does destroys them and you need ways to help repair the layers as there are so many you don't realise. It was definitely one of the hardest habits I've had to break but it was so worth it! I have long ish beautiful nails now and I am so glad I stuck to it. For everyone who wanted to try I did these simple steps and it made a world of a difference

To start with, the product that has made the most difference and I purely swear by is the Opi nail envy. This helps strengthen my nails and keeps them looking sleek all the time. I don't think they would've grown without this so this is a product I would highly suggest investing in because it does make a difference

One thing I do at least every week is file my nails. Not with s regular nail file, I stick to a glass one. This helps hem become stronger and also shapes then at the same time so it's a win win situation

Using a good hand cream isn't just helpful for your nails but helps give you softer hands and stops then feeling dry. I hate having dry hands so much and are really picky with hand creams so since I got the body shop almond hand and nail manicure cream my life's changed! It has an amazing smell and works like a charm, I'd honestly recommend it to anyone and it's so cheap!

One thing that's overlooked when it comes to keeping nails in good condition is the foam nail blocks, they can make such a difference! I always use the 'remove ridges' because the small almost invisible layers of your nail is still there and this gets rid of them. I think this is something everyone should use and is so underrated

Long nails are all lovely but sometimes they get damaged, so once every 3-6 months i always cut them down shorter and shape them, just so they can grow back even longer and get stronger because no matter what you do they always can get damaged even if you don't realise it

So I hope these tips are helpful and you guys enjoy them! There are with many more things out there but these are what have worked the best for me and I hope they do for you too!

  1. I've been trying to strengthen my nails for the past few weeks. They've been in pretty poor shape thanks to all the meds I have to take. I also started taking Biotin as well, as that's supposed to help. Definitely have to try your tips too! :D
