♡ packing tips ♡

November 10, 2018

This summer I’m lucky enough to be going on a family holiday to Greece! I am excited yet nervous and anxious for this so I’ve pretty much thrown myself into packing and making it as comfortable as possible.

Packing isn’t an easy thing at all when you’re going abroad, it takes so much thought, effort and concentration because there’s so much you need when you go away and you don’t wanna forget anything. Whilst I’ve been gathering my stuff together I’ve realised some little tips that can make it just slightly easier.

On a starting point for clothes, I always go and make outfit plans. Pre plan outfits is your lifesaver because you know you’ll have everything you need down to the t and you can see what you’re wearing (I don’t know about you but this excites me so much) and you should bring a spare outfit just in case anything happens.

My favourite thing to do is plan out what you’re gonna take. I’m such a list nerd so I love making categories and putting what I need into them is ah fun for me. Once I’ve made my lists I always double check my list then get it all out to pack. Once I pack then always double check I’ve got everything as I can always forget something - you can never be too sure so checking is so important.

When it comes to skincare / bodycare, I’ve found putting your full size in travel size tubs / containers is such a lifesaver! It’s a way to be able to bring your favourite products with you yet have the room for them in your travel bag. Keeping them in clear containers that you can keep or throw out once you’ve used them is so helpful. There’s no need to be ripped off with minis when you’ve got the products that work for you already.

I really don’t think anyone enjoys packing, it’s a time legnthy and draining progress that everyone just wants done for them, but some little tips can just help make it more bearable!

  6. I think I have gotten quite good at packing! Most things I take with me, I use on a daily basis anyway - so in regards to makeup and toiletries I will just pick the bits up as I use them. What I tell myself on my last few trips though, is that it doesn't matter if i forget something, there will always be shops where I am going and I can just purchase what I have left at home.

  7. Love this post! It's always so hard to remember everything, and I usually just take full sized products away with me, especially shampoo - as I seem to use so much of it anyway! xx

  11. Great advise on creating outfits! I am notorious for packing too much, or not enough, and I tend to just throw in what I think I might want. (although last trip I was trying to cut back and didn't end up with enough options). For my next trip I will follow your advise!
