♡ day 24 - Christmas recipes I love ♡

December 24, 2018

What better season then Christmas to bake? I know if I can milk the chance to bake as much as I can I will. I always want to use the season to make Christmas themed baking and my mum loves sharing it with our family so it all works out perfect.

I am all for trying things, but I do have some favourite recipes that I go to - and associate with certain weather. I have my Christmas baking, summer baking, winter baking and so on. But as well my families give me suggestions as we all have our favourites.

To start with one of mine, it’s not Christmas without a Sticky toffee pudding! I always have to make this as its a warm sweet desert that’s one of my all time favourites - I have such a sweet tooth so me and my mum love spending an afternoon making these then tucking into them.

Next is a recipe I shared on my blog 2 years ago for blogmas and I’ve gone back every year to make them is Chocolate orange brownies! These combine 2 of my favourites things combined and taste even better with the festivity of the season so I always love tucking into these with a hot chocolate on a cold night!!

A Christmas classic I love so much is a Yule log! I always bake them, following Mary Berry’s recipe and they taste so delicious (but the M&S ones taste better sorry!) and they’re always in my house on Christmas Day so they just have that festive magic about them! I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love baking around Christmas!

I know I’ve a selection of all my favourite bits but there’s still more. My family always love me baking their favourite bits so I love trying more too! What’s your favourite Christmas recipes?? Let me know in that comments

  1. Ooh I love a good Christmas recipe! They are soo amazing, also the decorations are perfect. I remember when I made some simple cupcake but after putting blue icing and snowflakes on top, they reminded me soo much of Winter! I love a good Yule Log at Christmas, that's perfect! I haven't done so many recipes, I definitely need to get more into Christmas baking.
