♡ day 9 - Christmas traditions ♡

December 09, 2018

Christmas is just one of these special times of the year everyone loves and most people celebrate, but everyone does it differently. Every family has their own Christmas traditions they do without a doubt every year.

Like anyone, me and my family have our own Christmas traditions that we do and I wanted to share them this blogmas as we all do different things during the festive time, so sharing how I make it special with my family is different!

One thing we always do which I don’t think most people will agree with is we putting decorations up 2nd week of November. This is purely because my mum thinks the amount of time they take to put up isn’t worth the little time they’re up in December, so the earlier we get them up in November the better. Personally I love it as my house feels so cosy and festive!

Another thing we do is as some of yous may know, in Leeds we get a German market every year and it’s one of my favourite things. Atleast one night in December we always go as a family and visit it. It’s such a good night as it’s so Christmassy themed and cold, full of happy people! I really think this is a place everyone should visit.

Not every night, but atleast once a week in December we always try sitting together watching a Christmas film. This is a way to like chill and ignore everything to just think about Christmas. You don’t even realise you need this till it happens and it’s truely a blessing.

Finally the last but most recent tradition we have started on Christmas Eve is we Sitting together watching a Christmas film, having a takeaway, opening 1 present and getting out Christmas Eve box ! This is like our little family thing that just gets us so excited so we can have an early night on Christmas Eve!

What better time then Christmas to make traditions?? I know when I have my own family we will have lots of them as I value the ones I have right now with my family as Christmas is a time we really should spend with our family
