♡ Sunday self care ♡

February 17, 2019

Self care is so important! We go though so much with our physical, social and mental health that when it comes to it we need to look after ourselves!! In society now days, so many people suffer from mental health problems, are stressed with school, are suffering or just need a break.

Self care isn’t all about ‘pampering’ yourself but I know personally it helps me so I try keep up with it as my it helps me feel so much better in misled! Atleast once I week I try give myself a self care day - most of the time it’s a Sunday!

I always make sure I’ve snacks when I do this! I love chocolate so I’ll give myself a bar or so to eat whilst I go though all this and it’s usually galaxy my favourite.

So I’ll usually start any self care by running a bath! In that colder months I’ve been getting more baths then showers and I’m loving it - they’re so warm and relaxing! I’ll start by adding my jo Malone bath oil in red roses and pair it with my lush rose jam shower gel for bubbles - I love roses so the pair together smell like a dream!

Once I’ve had my bath, I’ll always pamper myself even more when I get out! To keep the rose theme up I use The body shop British rose body butter as they’re some of my favourite body butters of all time with the best silky soft formula I think it’s so hard to beat.

Finally onto skincare I always do a nice skincare routine when I come out the bath - it’s my more ‘Luxury skincare’ that i love using! I start with the fresh soy cleanser which is so soft and gentle on my skin and it feels so nice. I’ve started using the body shop rose toner which feels so nice on my skin and smells amazing, finally moisturising with the Clinique moisture surge!

This posts aim was to try motivated you to want to do this - you deserve it! Once you’ve done the routine, taking these 2-3 hours out the day feels so nice. You don’t realise how much it can help your mentality just by taking a afew hours our the day to help you be physically better and mentally feel it - I just think it’s a no brainier

  1. I’m not too keen on the Rose Jam by lush, it’s a bit too sweet for me but the Jo Malone one seems as though it’d smell a little fresher if you get me? So I might have to try that out!

  2. Self-care is really a thing nowadays! I went on a course on Monday and they were constantly telling us that we need to allocate a period every week for self-care. This is a lovely idea.

  3. I love a self-care Saturday or Sunday! I can't wait until we move and I can finally start having long hot baths again because I guarantee they'll become a part of my self-care routine! You can't beat a good bar of chocolate too, my favourite at the minute is Dairy Milk Oreo but I haven't had any Galaxy Cookie Crumble in ages and I used to love that!
