♡A weekend in Paris guide ♡
July 28, 2019 Me and my family finally have in and booked a long weekend in Paris. I’ve wanted to go to Paris for so long and I’ve been so excited!! Paris has been the city I’ve loved the most for years so going felt like a dream come true
Before I went, i did sooo much research. I read countless guides, Googled everything and got advice from friends who have been. The trip had to be perfected so I planned it to the very last minute. There was so much I wanted to see and do in Paris I had to fit it all in.
STAY
We stayed in hotel called ‘ hotel elysees union’ and it was perfect. Since we was only on a city break we needed a room and we got it. The bed were amazing, the staff were so polite and if was such a lovely stay. Not to even mention how perfect the location was. We was a 10 minute walk to effiel tower and 5 to the arc de triomphe & champs elysees. I couldn’t recommend this play anymore - it’s affordable and in such an ideal location!
VISIT
Paris is full of land marks, there are so many places to go and see! In 3 days we tried to do as much as we could - but I bet there are more places to go! We did the basics - The effiel tower, The louvre and arc de triomphe & champs elysees. One thing I can say about all the landmarks is they’re so much bigger than I expected. They all lived up to my expectations.
The effiel tower was exactly and more what I expected - such a gorgeous sight. The louvre was even more as I had no idea what we was going into but it was full of beautiful art and being able to see Mona Lisa herself was surreal. The arc de triomphe was huge! I just didn’t expect it to be that big but it was a view and champs Elysées didn’t disappoint for a shopping trip with some amazing stores.
We stopped off at Trocadéro gardens - on the hottest day ever in Paris it reached 42 degrees so people were in the fountain swimming! Everyone was enjoying themself and it was a funny sight. The gardens were such a lovely place to sit and take in the effiel tower. I loved it to just sit and just admire Paris
TRIPS
When we was here we wanted to see everything so we took a boat trip along River Seine. It was such a lovely trip - it lasted an hour. We say 22 bridges and landmarks like the Effiel tower, Notre Dam, The louvre. It was so scenic and relaxing. We used bateaux parisiens and I had such a lovely time
FOOD
One of the best things about Paris has to be the food. It’s all been out of this world. We stayed pretty local to our hotel in little cafes and I loved every meal I had. Our first resteraunt was called Cafe Keleber and it was the best salad I’ve ever eaten. I had a medertarinian salad and I enjoyed it so much.
The next day we went to the famous Cafe Marly and had croissants & fruit with the Instagram view of the louvre. The food was delicious and it was so refreshing.
For our last night we had probably the best pizza I’ve had in my life. Cafe Belloythis is just on the corner of our hotel and it was amazing. The atmosphere was so nice and the people were so polite - this is what I expected for a Parisian cafe.
Everyone should go to Paris. It’s such a beautiful city it beat my expectations though the roof. It was exactly what I expected and I felt so happy and safe there. Everyone in my family loved it so much too and we all would come again. It’s such a beautiful city full of history, architecture and amazing people.
