♡ skincare routine ♡

January 18, 2020

Skincare is one of my favourites things to do. I have problematic skin so I need a stable routine to help calm it down and every 6 months or so, I try change it up.

Recently I’ve had big changes as I’ve tried new product and I want to share it. Trying new products is rare but when I find ones I enjoy, I tend to use them everyday. Most of these products are new and what I’ve tried over the past few months and I am loving them.

So I start on a morning by washing my face with the body shop seaweed cleanser. This is a gel wash, my favourite texture and I use my magnitone brush with it. I like this as it’s a string cleanser that makes me feel fresh and clean on the morning as my skin can be problematic.

Next I tone with an old favourite which is coming back, the Liz Earle instant boost skin tonic, but in a spray bottle. This is the first toner I ever tried and I love it so much, it’s got the best rose scent and it leaves my skin feeling so soft and luxurious. It’s like such a treat for me to use have to say it’s got to be my favourite one I’ve ever used so I had to go back to it.

For my moisturiser, due to the colder months I’ve gone back to using diprobase because my skin gets so dry and this is one of the only things that keeps it under control - it hydrated my skin whilst leaving it feeling soft and dewy looking. My doctor l recommended I use this on my skin and it’s done me no harm whilst I’ve been using as it’s for eczema and dry skin conditions it works perfectly as a moisturiser for me.

Onto my night routine now, i start by taking my makeup off with Clinique take the day off cleansing balm. This is one of the most amazing makeup removers where only a small amount can take off a full face. I feel like my makeup melts off when they hits my skin and It leaves it feeling clean and soft so it’s a perfect product to use! It turns to an oil texture from a balm as you run it in and it’s so luxurious!

Then for the double cleanse, I use the elmis cream cleanser. I got this mini in and advent calendar and I am really loving it. It’s a basic cleanser that takes all the leftover makeup and leaves my skin feeling so soft. It’s got such a clean smell my face face always feels amazing after i use it.

I tone again with the same Liz Earle toner, then finally for moisturiser, I have a prescription one from the doctors as my skin breaks out bad so this helps control it. I’ve used this for a long time and it’s helped so much - I use it every night and it’s a gel texture. I’ve come to like it and it’s a staple in my routine as I need it.

Then a few nights a week, I use the Superdrug vitamin E face oil instead of a my prescription moisture to help my skin glow and keep hydration. And for an exfoliater I use the matching one to the face wash - the body shop seaweed

My routine is so important to do everyday - it makes me feel amazing because I love doing it but my skin needs looking after, the TLC to help it glow everyday. I never go a day without my routine and it shows how glowy and clean my skin is left looking and feeling after using all these amazing products.
